Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fixed my forearm pain. When you use a regular mouse you must constantly hold your fingers up to keep from inadvertantly clicking. Not much, and you don't notice it until after months of doing it the muscles in the back of your right forearm begin hurting - and they don't stop hurting because, if like me, your work requires that you continuously use your mouse and hold your fingers up - constantly. And it hurts. Track balls don't help because you have to hold your finger up on those, too. So, I bought the old version of this mouse about seven years ago - the kind with the ball underneath. The pain stopped almost immediately. No more holding the fingers up. I used it almost constantly until my shoulder started hurting. This one requires that you use your shoulder for movement and once again - constant use causes pain. So, now I alternate between this one and the regular one. I've been doing it for about four years and NO PAIN. Yes, I would recommend this mouse and this strategy for anyone who has to use a mouse constantly. I'm buying a new one because I got a blue screen and lost a bunch of complicated work, got mad, slammed the mouse down on the desk and broke my wonderful mouse - dang! The new one is optical. If it's as durable as the old one I'll probably be able to bequeath it to some co-worker when I retire. BTW-it takes some practice to get really fine movement resolution. I use it with O-snap for AutoCAD. the only thing I don't use it for is sketching. For that, I go back to a regular mouse or use a touch pad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product This mouse has helped me be able to use the computer for longer periods of time then ever before without the old wrist problems. I had to have surgery because of working 8 hours/day with conventional mouse. This is like a joy stick and moves effortlessly across the pad. It took some getting used to but now it is like second nature using it. I have had it for over a year and was just thinking I should let others know what a good product it is.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great design, but... This would seriously be the prefect mouse for me if it slide more smoothly, and ad a scroll wheel! i know it has the "scroll button" but the programs i use require a wheel for size and zoom adjustment. So unfortunately, while this is fine for light computer use and scrolling around the internet, its sadly useless for anything else. If they just threw on a scroll wheel on top that top ridge, this would be the perfect mouse! I'd buy one for all my PC's!
