3M™ Polyester Tape 8421

3M™ Polyester Tape 8421, 2.5 mil (0.06 mm) polyester film tape with pigmented rubber adhesive.

Used to pre-splice photographic film for processing. Other application ideas include sealing, labeling, protecting and edging where a high tack, rubber adhesive is desirable.

Benefits:

• Remains flexible at -60°F (-50°C) and dimensionally stable to 300°F (149°C)
• Excellent solvent and chemical resistance, especially those found in photographic processes
• Hot caustics will weaken backing after prolonged immersion
• 3M tape 8422 black tape is opaque to light and can work in systems having automatic sensors
